Building my own video game

The other day I downloaded the free version of a program called Gamemaker from YoYo Games which allows one to build their own video games. I put it in William's computer so that he, in all his online patience, can watch tutorial and walk-through videos and learn how to use it. I've asked him to teach me along the way. Today we figured out how to make a background, make sprites, and program the sprites to respond to predetermined key strokes (to some extent). I also just did some animation of sprites so that they appear in a constantly moving animated loop.
